[symple_column size=”one-fourth” position=”first”]Singing Meditation[/symple_column][symple_column size=”one-half” position=”second”]Singing Meditation is an interfaith spiritual practice that combines singing – of many types – with group observation of silence.
No experience is necessary and all voices are welcome.
Not all of the songs used in Singing Meditation are slow and contemplative. Many are high energy and joyful. Percussion instruments may be played.
The goal of Singing Meditation is to help the participants reach a place inside themselves where they can connect with the Divine, their Inner Core, the Spirit of Life.
Participants are welcome to join in as they are comfortable or to remain in silence as the sounds of the voices around them deepen their own meditation.
These sessions are co-led by Fred Habib Maycock, a practicing Sufi who has led sacred chant for years and Music Director Susanne Maziarz (music@nuuc.ca).[/symple_column][symple_column size=”one-fourth” position=”last”]monthly usually every 3rd Sunday
