Neighbourhood Lay Chaplains are available to provide spiritual or religious ceremonies to mark important rites of passage.

Unitarian Universalists believe that each person has the right to define their spiritual life. We are all free to celebrate our milestones by choosing ceremonies that reflect those beliefs.

When you decide to mark a special moment in your life with a ceremony, our Lay Chaplains will work closely with you to create a service that is tailored to your wants and needs.

Your ceremony can be as spiritual, traditional or contemporary as you wish.

As you make the decision to have a Rite of Passage – whether it is a wedding, child naming, funeral or memorial service we understand the need for personalizing such an important event.

A Lay Chaplain will work closely with you to create a service that is tailored to your wants and needs, drawing from all traditions. You will be able to openly discuss details such as: timing, involvement of others, and choices for readings, meditations or prayers. The ceremony can be as spiritual, traditional or contemporary as you wish.

We would be pleased to consider a location of your choosing such as: a private home, an outdoor setting such as a garden, or a public place. The ceremony can be performed where you are most at home.

We are centrally located near Coxwell and Gerrard with ample parking and a fully equipped kitchen available.

Fees for our services vary depending on the design and location of your service. An accurate figure can be given by the Lay Chaplain after your initial meeting.
